... and immerse yourself within.

Without preparation there is no intent.
Without intent there is no progress.
No progress is not perfect. Unaltered
no satisfaction.

When you meditate at home, you should have a corner in your room that is absolutely pure and holy, a sacred place that only use for meditation. There you can make an altar where you have a picture of your spiritual master, or Christ or any spiritual personality that you think your teacher.
Before meditation, will be useful to take a shower or bath. Cleansing the body is very useful for the purification of conscience. If you can not take a shower or bath before sitting down to meditate, you should at least wash your face. It is also advisable to clean and light clothing.
also help you burn incense and have some fresh flowers on your altar. When you smell the fragrance of incense, maybe just get a bit of inspiration and purification, but that little bit can add to your inner treasure. Some people say it is not necessary to have flowers in front during meditation. "The flower is inside", they say, "the thousand-petalled lotus is within." But the physical flower on your shrine will remind the inner flower. Color, fragrance and pure consciousness will give you inspiration. Get inspiration from aspiration.
The same applies to the use of candles during meditation. The flame of a candle by itself will not give you aspiration, but when you see the outer flame immediately feel the flame of aspiration in your inner being is also rising higher, higher, highest. If someone is about to realize God or whether, in fact, God has already done, then these things have no value outside. But if you know your God-realization is still a far cry, then of course these things will increase your aim. When you make your daily individual meditation, try to meditate alone. This does not apply to the case of husband and wife, if both have the same Spiritual master, for them is good to meditate together. Otherwise, it is not advisable to meditate with others for daily individual meditation. Collective meditation is also important, but for individual meditation a day is best to meditate in private with your own altar.
Meditation is a divine gift. Meditation simplifies our outer life and energises our inner life. Meditation gives us a natural and spontaneous life, a life as natural and spontaneous and can not breath without being aware of our own divinity.
